I have been procrastinating in continuing book 1 of my Seven Realms trilogy, don’t get me wrong I have the scenes play out in my head before and after work when I have my soundtrack playlist blasting into my ears. But when it comes to writing the next chapter and written in a way that captures an audience where the genre is vastly populated and full of amazing authors who have wider expanses of imagination than I, it can be difficult…
Because of my procrastination and also my OCD of colour when it comes to my personal Instagram (I have deleted and re-shared photos of memories this past week, I think I need help in controlling this) I have been diverting from writing and wound up making outfits on IMVU or new Sailor Senshi/scouts on Dolldivine.com. I also can you believe it, broke my break of being off Second Life and logged on this afternoon to take photos, another creative outlet of mine.
For the past four years, I have attended this event in-world called Fantasy Faire and it is a fundraiser for cancer, it is also very popular and successful for raising enough funds to go to the American Cancer society. The people are the same and I refuse to go to clubs where there are many people, I have no time for toxic environments because these people who live online, will not ever change unless it is apparently life-changing.
On the side I have also started writing an anime style story with episode titles instead of chapters, featuring the new characters that I created on Dolldivine.com, my leading character is Sailor Lumiere or Hina-Ai Ryuuchi, a simple housekeeper but also a soldier for love and justice who also utilises the power of the Moon, but only a sliver of it. I have written Episode 1 already and thinking of ideas for the next episode while also trying to motivate myself to write Chapter 10 for Book 1 of my trilogy.
See what I mean? My brain is scattered and OCD/ADHD is killing me when it comes to colour on my social media. Maybe I should take a dose of that rescue remedy or something to help me focus, it is amazing that I managed to stay focus at work with all that is going on around me and in my brain.
I have been enjoying taking photos with windlights lately, particularly this collection of photos. Depending on my mood, it has been using my colour scheme of pink and cute aesthetic into mature photos.
This is pure Japanese/Korean idol being all cute and innocent though the clothes revealing a heaving bust and midriff inclines that the idol herself isn’t as innocent as she shows to her fanbase. Featuring the adorable hoody by Hime*Dream, pigtails by Runaway Hair and the backdrop is made by Foxcity. A lot of my bento poses and scenes are made by Satomi, she keeps unleashing her imagination onto the grid and we, the happy customers all too happily oblige in purchasing her products.
Pure mischief and naughty, I haven’t taken a picture of my avatar nude in so long (absence of the boyfriend does that to you) but the background by Paparazzi was neon pink and pretty that I had to use it for a photo despite it meaning that my avatar had no clothes on. Thankfully the ombre hair once more by Runaway covers the body mostly. The Princess sleeping mask is by .Olive. from a previous round of The Arcade.
Inspired by the song by Mya: ‘Case of the Ex’ and feeling for one of my best friends who is still seeing the moronic behaviour of an ex boyfriend, the above picture was stemmed from all those feelings. It all started from the spray bottle made by Marmalade for Limit8, she made a gacha that has various potions including Love potion and even cat nip. I decided to change it up with the blue ombre hair, it is by Truth and the corporate/detailed jacket by Pixicat is gorgeous. The golden keys are from one of Cureless+ gacha.
A fluffy outfit taken in the comfort of my cottage where many LOTD have been taken and my house has been featured in the spotlight on Flickr. Many understand why I wouldn’t leave my home and stay sitting there while I’m alt tabbed or away from keyboard. Other than my home on IMVU, the cottage is my rosy bubble.
I have enough new photos that I took on Second Life that I can now feature in a new post from that virtual universe. Yay!
I been experimenting with the different settings, sometimes entire sims can be just too laggy even when you derender everyone else around you. And finding just a backgrounds or backdrops made by the talented creators is all that I need to create a photo. The above photo however was taken at a sim District 18, a sci-fi/cyberpunk roleplay world. However my outfit is definitely not something from a futuristic set. The top is by Hime Dream and it’s so cute! The gamer belt along with Sailor Moon’s compact is a favourite add-on.
This is my most recent upload on my flickr stream and taken in my cottage in front of my blogging corner, where I’m usually parked at if I’m not deciding to explore the rest of the Second Life grid. My hair in real life is ombre, dark brown almost black with caramel-ish/blonde tips, I went with that look for ages in-world too. It has always been Dela hair, but this week I switched to Runaway hair just because she had more variety in her ombre and I wanted a change. I also made my eyes hazel, not that you can tell in the photo.
I am still crying out for clothes from the designer that is pink and cute but not lingerie or borderline teenager/child-like. I find myself returning to the marketplace or main store releases to find items that aren’t worn by every single resident on the grid. The top is by Envious, the skirt itself is Le Fil Casse, Jae stepping up with her raunchy bottoms. Also again this is in my cottage, I re-did the lounge with LAQ bookcases and confetti cake couches by Violetility.
There is a whole lot of drama related to the sim known as Backdrop city but I’m being honest here, I am glad the owner has rezzed out plenty of backgrounds and divided them into categories. Not everyone can afford to buy them whether in gacha mode or not, the above picture is a backdrop that I added all my extra decor into. The dress and jacket are an amazing collaboration between Candydoll and Le Fil Casse. Everything about the ensemble screams my favourite theme.
Another weekly collection of photos that I have taken on the grid/Second Life, its been over the past couple of weeks as I haven’t been completely online all the time because of my new job
The above picture is my most recent shot that I took at Elysion (actually I uploaded it last night before bed) and I’m wearing a dress by Pink Cream Pie featured at Paying it Forward, the cute white mittens are by Katat0nik from the December round of Collabor88, my bunny companion is by Yokai, fluffy cardigan by Cynful released at FaMESHed December.
Having backgrounds or backdrops are my saviours when it comes to random photos, it can look like it is in another sim, but really its in front of my cottage. I have been doing those a lot lately as well. The above photo is a backdrop by Bruja, top is by Epoch from .Suicide DollZ., underwear is by Nana also from Suicide Dollz, the cheeky lollipop is from Catwa‘s main store.
Another photo taken at Elysion, in their Luxe theatre on the main stage. The stunning ball gown is by Moon Amore, it is their rare from their Phantom of the Opera inspired gacha released during this month’s round of The Arcade. Soon as I bought it, I knew I had to do something elegant and whimsical with it, for the musical itself has that otherworldly feel especially when Christine sings ‘Think of me’ in that poof white dress.
Again, this is a backdrop made by Minimal and I was going for something pink, cutesy and random. The pink subway was a perfect addition to my wintry look. My kitty ear muffs are made by Sweet Thing, part of her gacha that was released at The Arcade. The blush off-the-shoulder top is made by Tetra for a previous round of Collabor88. The Yakult bottle is a group gift of Zenith and the rings are by Yummy.
I managed to get my boyfriend to log on and pose with me in the above scene taken inside our cottage. The inspiration is the morning after a night together, we have just woken up and gone to the kitchen to have a breakfast. As you can tell, my avatar is still half asleep and you got that morning glow surrounding us. I have been using the windlights a lot lately with my pictures, downloaded some from Foxcity’s Satomi, Altair’s Runa and Sorbet’s Xanthe. The couple pose is made by Focus Poses from their marketplace.
Three years I have called this cottage home on Second Life and it has been my rosy bubble away from all the wastelands and craziness that ensures from other residents in the virtual universe.
My dining table is always changing, depending on what is released by my favourite creators for events, this picture is this month recent as it was taken featuring the cutesy food made by Tentacio. It was released at 6republic earlier this month, its theme was Canada vs Japan. The adorable ginger girl is by Black Bantam and one of the rares that were released at Kustom9 in December 2015.
I even changed the wardrobe that I had from Birdy’s Boudoir to Nomi’s Princess closet that was released for the Gacha Gardens again earlier this month. It is more prim heavy but it had more detail and its pink, of course it had to be part of my bedroom. That side of the cottage is my favourite place to be parked in if I’m not going shopping or going to that new club that was introduced to me by one of my besties Aria.
Can you believe the above photo was taken outside of my cottage using the books background by Astralia, I love to read in reality, I have a wardrobe full of books and manga plus over thirty virtual books saved on my Kindle. Reading books with a cat on my lap, makes it even better as long as it is not hot outside as we are approaching the beginning of Summer here in Australia.
Pose is by Le Poppycock which features the cat on my chest, found at the September round of The Liason Collective.
I have taken a couple of photos featuring my beloved rug in my bedroom over the past two years, I have just changed things surrounding the pouf in the middle. Usually what is on the pink rug reflects my likes and hobbies, one side is make-up and taking pictures, the other side is painting and plenty of books. I have a lot of books in my cottage now that I think about it.
My favourite piece in the above photo is the white kitten by Half-Deer listening to its own tunes on the iPhone, so cute.
Everyone knows what my blogging desk looks like by now, doesn’t matter what I have removed (or added) it will always be the same clustered, chaotic mess as before. For friends who have seen my real life desk at home, it is exactly the same.
I have been on a roll with taking photos lately on Second Life, though I do not blog for fashion from there anymore, I shop for fun and randomly to save my money.
I have been hit by a creative spark with my photos and it seems because of it, it is reflecting in getting more likes than my usual 20. They have been varying in theme and colour, though pink of course is still present in some of them.
Some of them are focused on the seasons surrounding my avatar, some are focused on the features of my cottage or the new accessories that I have bought at the new round of events. These four pictures I am sharing are my recent shots I have uploaded, the below photo has recieved 47 favourites from the flickr followers, I haven’t recieved many likes in a while so quite happy with this achievement.
Two of them have been a pin-up theme from the recent round of Rewind which is all about the 1940s. The top photo is taken at Elysion sim on the roof of their Luxe theatre where they have burlesque shows every month. The second photo is taken in the comfort of my own pixel home, focusing on the amazing crystal rings by Yummy at this month’s round of Collabor88.
The third photo has a background made by Astralia which is featured in Rewind: 1940s this month and the lingerie is by Moon Elixir for the latest round of ROMP, an adult/kink event. The last photo is taken in a skybox on my home sim featuring the background house made by Foxcity poses for November round of Pocket gacha. The pose itself is also by Foxcity, top by Candydoll and shorts by Villena. My tentacle companion is by Katat0nik from last month’s round of Panic of the Pumpkin.
Today’s post might be a little bit lengthier than usual because I am including Strawberry Singh‘s challenge that she just posted today, she used to do them on a weekly occurance but reality can get quite busy as you and I all know. Anyway this week has been a blur, I been working all PM shifts, only four nights and been full speed into my fantasy series, I have notes for all 3 books now and I think I will keep it to a trilogy even though they all got heaps of content.
I have also decided that I will professionally bind them so they can be read like a book and passed around to anyone in my family or friends can read it (that’s if they enjoy the fantasy genre of course). I’ll be sharing my five positive thoughts before doing the challenge.
- Miraculous has a premiere date for Season 2! October 26th!! Shadowhunters has a date for Season 3, April 3 (It’s far away but still yay, also the new footage looks amazing)
- Spent the entire weekend with my boyfriend on SL ❤
- Ka.lu.el got to have a catch up on IMVU, Elie has been busy moving in reality so it was great to see her again
- I am 84 pages into Book 1 of my Seven realms series, been discussing with best friend Mei and told her character deaths…she isn’t happy with me again ^^;
- No big problems at work this past week, to have a relaxed but productive day at work is a blessing 😛
Now giving you a couple of my Second Life facts, Strawberry has written seven so I shall try and give you 7 too
- My Second Life fact #1: I am a horrible shopaholic, I was worse before the Europe trip but I love to dress up my pixels and I spent my real life work money to buy lindens..
- My Second Life fact #2: I can’t stand Alpha men and spoiled baby girls, I know two dear friends who are in that lifestyle in reality and they have explained Babygirls are not want the thots are in-world at all! Alphas also are insecure, little dick men who also fall under the category of your generic pup (fuck boy)
- My Second Life fact #3: I’m usually parked in my cottage, it is my rosy bubble and my safe place, quite often the people around the grid make me roll my eyes at their stupidity
- My Second Life fact #4: I love to take photos, which is why I have that Flickr account and always sharing pictures on my blog
- My Second Life fact #5: Anything pink, cutesy, magical or cat related I will buy it almost immediately whether in-world store, event or gacha form. It will be mine!!
- My Second Life fact #6: I met the love of my life online, three years ago. On 13th October 2014 to be precise 😛 And then we met in reality in September of this year 😀
- My Second Life fact #7: I have been growing meh about Second Life lately, with my novel writing and socialising more on my pixel network that is IMVU, I probably log on maybe 3-4 days a week and spend less than 3hrs on it, unless of course there is a new event that is calling my shopaholic side..
I hope this satisfies the challenge and yay to Strawberry Singh for bringing them back again, they are so much fun to do!
