I have returned to the daily grind at my beautiful hotel in the city and I can happily boast that my team needed me desperately though I was only absent for two weeks. It is so good to see everyone again, though I enjoyed the time my boyfriend was here and got to show him a lot of my city, being back in the office and talking with my colleagues and doing our usual antics, I missed them all!
A lot has happened in the past week and a lot has been occurring this current weekend too, they will be featured in my positive thoughts for the weekend. Since Brad has left, I have been thinking over my trip for next year and when to go. Obviously it will be my turn to go to England and finally meet his parents and all his friends but I’m unsure on what time to go. My mum and bestie thinks I should go in their winter to see if I can survive it or not.
There is also talks of who would move where, my dad has already expressed that I am not going anywhere but in the end, this decision will be up to me and where I want to go in the next two years.
Sharing my five likes for this week;
Black Panther with bestie Mei last weekend, it is such an amazing movie and I downloaded two songs from the soundtrack
I have lost 6 kilograms since I started that life changing diet, friends and family are noticing the difference
I bought The Last Jedi novel when Brad was over here, my shipper heart for Kylo and Rey made me so happy in reading the book. Jason Fry brought the movie to life even more
Bruno Mars tonight with my Filo cousins and sister, from what I heard from friends who already been, he is an entertainer and keeps the crowd going.
Brad and I shared rolled ice-cream the night before he flew home, it was in a cute pop store in my favourite shopping mall in the city. Oreos of course and so yummy.
As the days creep closer and my parents and I are finalising our checklists and our packing, I’m just happy that I am already on annual leave after six days of work last week. Not that it wasn’t stressful, happy to say that my very last shift at work turned out to be quite pleasant with a lot of hugs and well wishing from my colleagues. I’m looking forward to travelling in business class, it is such a long flight to get up to Dubai alone.
Been organising with the boyfriend of what we are going to do together in the second week while in England, I know that the cat cafe is one thing I definitely want to experience even after finding out Sydney has its own cat cafe in the city. Mum has also asked Brad if he would like to join us on a trip down to Portsmouth, she is going there to meet her work friends but the train ride would be nice for my parents to find more about him.
I pre-ordered the Enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast, also acts as bluetooth speaker
Family dinner with my family and my sister’s fiance’s family tonight, lots of laughs and good conversation
Getting keratin on my hair tomorrow, it means no more frizz!
Dollhouse DIY videos on Youtube are so relaxing, I have no idea why
Writing more, socialising in reality more like what I used to do before pixel universes took over
6:30am start today and I’m back to the daily grind after a fabulous weekend either relaxing or out with friends, this is also my last week of work doing 6 days before my annual leave for Europe begins. I am all packed and ready to go, just have my day bag to prep for but otherwise everything else is ready for the month trip. Mum keeps telling me how busy we will be with training around the different countries and I know this won’t be a shopping trip, I’m just overall excited for the experience.
I am also still in fangirl mode over all the goodies being released from San Diego comic-con, that is another bucket list to one day check out the convention and be part of the masses in Hall H. The trailers for Shadowhunters, Avengers 3: Infinity war, Justice League have got me squealing and I can’t believe that Adelaide Kane (Mary from Reign) is going to be in Once upon a time and Tom Welling (Superman from Smallville) is going to be featured in the new season of Lucifer!
My old assistant manager celebrated her birthday this past Saturday in the city, it was great to catch up
Kagami event has opened on Second Life, it’s a Japanese horror game brings back nostalgia from 2 years ago
I pre-ordered Occamy, the bird snake from Fantastic Beasts, a special pop doll from San Diego comic-con
My dragon story has been moved from my little black book into word document
Cute covered journals from Typo such as mermaid scales are addictive, I need to stop buying them!
8 days can put a strain on your body and you can imagine how relieved I was when 11pm finally clocked over and I was happily leaving work last Friday for my weekend off! It is also not long now until I am away for a month and in Europe! I keep having dreams of flying business class would be like. Though I have done it before when going to Christchurch with mum, this longer trip will be worth the heavy dollars that my family and I paid.
Also can’t wait to meet my other half in London, if all goes well with him and I after our first official meeting in reality, he said he would fly down under for my sister’s wedding next year in March! Here is hoping everything goes smoothly.
Catch up dinner with Mei last night, I haven’t seen her in a month!
Crunchie hot choc, The Choc Pot invented it and its a subtle version of the monster milkshakes. Yum!
The original Disney Princess voice actresses are making a cameo in Wreck it Ralph 2!!
I lost another kilo, I just wish my body would stop fluctuating on itself
Binge watching Z nation on Netflix, that show I admit is better than TWD >.>
I guess four days off can be classified as a mini holiday for most people especially when usually even after 6-7 days of work, you still only get the required two day weekend. For me in the hotel industry, this is quite a luxury and though I haven’t been exactly productive though I have packed majority of clothes needed for Europe and I did cook dinner for the family tonight (they loved it too :D) my days off so far have been very chilled out.
I have one more day off and again it will probably be nothing too crazy however I am getting something done which will be listed below in my weekly likes. Once again delivering my five positive thoughts for the week;
Re-connecting with one of my girls in the Hen Den past two days has been sweet
Skype calls with the boyfriend, seeing each other’s cats on camera too
Dollhouse DIY’s on youtube, I don’t know why but they are so relaxing to watch before bed
I am getting my hair done ombre tomorrow! I’m adding a mahogany hue to the ends 😀
It seems my boss is determined to give my career the boost it desperately needs having gotten me to fill out a transfer form and re-do my survey. I have also applied for two different types of roles, one is reservations, the other is communications like what I used to do at the previous hotel for 9 months and it was a fun 9 months as well, I enjoyed that role. So here is hoping I get into both, though the idea of working in a five star property though daunting sounds amazing!
Tomorrow is Day 3/5 in work and then I have four days off after that, not sure what I’ve got planned probably more organising my closet for Europe, 34 more days and it keeps getting closer! The excited jitters have landed.
My five likes over the course of the past week;
Vegetable tempura is delicious and addictive!
Kong: Skull Island wasn’t as bad I expected and the bonus of Tom Hiddleston ❤
Marie from Aristocats and Regina from Once upon a time pop dolls I got the other day
Clary and Jace had their kiss in the recent episode of Shadowhunters! MY OTP IS BACK
Early access to The Crystal Heart Festival on Second Life is a magic girl’s dream come true
The rain mixed with the cold weather of winter is never a good combination especially when you have been working for seven days straight at work, this is me currently. I did it as a favour for one of the guest service agents who wanted Friday off and rather than split our days off, we decided to swap our weekend completely. I don’t mind, I have tomorrow and Monday off and hoping that the rain holds off tomorrow so my family, bestie Mei and I can check out Vivid in the city.
I was originally going to vent under the sub heading of Neko Irritation but decided not to and instead just place it here in my diary entry. All my good friends know that I cannot stand fair-weather friends (A friend who is only a friend when circumstances are pleasant or profitable. At the first sign of trouble, these capricious, disloyal friends will drop their relationship with you.) I have had my fair share of them online, none in reality of course because it is a whole different ball game beyond the computer.
But online, you have so many and it usually occurs of when they striving to climb the pixel social ladder or wanting a boyfriend or a man who is DTF, I sadly had to release a fair-weather friend last night after my gut feeling became true. And it wasn’t just me, two of my other girl friends noticed it too and also deleted this friend. It is quite unfortunate because I knew her on IMVU for the past 5 years? And she helped me re-do my avatar when I returned to that pixel universe. Let’s just hope she knows what she is doing…
The top five likes from the past 9 days;
Cadbury bars- I have lessened my sugar intake so having a bar of chocolate sates the craving
Golden State Warriors are still leading in NBA finals
My flickr has reached 1,100 followers tonight 😀 Thank you all
Wonder Woman! I need to watch it again, it was absolutely amazing and Gal is soaring high!
Family time last weekend after AM shift, I don’t get much time with my cousins but when I do it is always crazy in a good way
I do not like this 4-7 degrees Celsius every night I finish at 11pm and drive home, it is too cold though it is perfect excuse to pull out the cute winter wear again and get all snuggled in. But I still don’t like it! Work has its moments of being random and fun, then other times we are cracking down and working our butts off until after the shift ends.
Tonight was one of those nights and it is also when I had some girl who only comments on my timeline when being a bitch and the thing is she really knows nothing, to think that my status was about the virtual world had me mentally facepalming- some people live online too much.
An assortment of five positive things this week;
Vivid (Sydney sound and light show) is back on in the city, going to see it with family on 11th June
More Shadowhunters promos, we have a week until it premieres again!
My group of girls- glad we are hanging out more on IMVU, it is peaceful
My unicorn slippers arrived in the post last week, just in time for the cold weather
Natural stones collection at Lovisa jewellery store- been wearing a lot of moon stones lately :3
I got three days off and though I didn’t do much and returning to work tomorrow morning, it has been quite chilled out and relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle in the hotel or going out and having family parties. Tonight is my usual driving or bus into the city for my regular Chinatown Friday night markets which means food time!
I got five days of work this week but it is getting more exciting because I am learning the ropes for a team leader, wish me luck I get this promotion soon!
My five likes;
Wonder Woman is getting amazing reviews from fans who have watched it this week, yayy!
Boyfriend made me swoon three times, he is such a romantic when not being a dork ❤
More Shadowhunters teasers have been released! More Sebastian!
Drove up the mountains yesterday, took pictures of the Autumn scenery, so pretty this time of year
12 followers away from reaching 1,100 on my Flickr, well I guess people like my pictures 😀
All these early starts are making my body cry for sleep, which is perhaps why I had a nap yesterday evening after I came home from work and slept in the car all the way home today after a full day out with the family in Bowral. This week has been packed with great memories whether online or in real life and I will list my top five in the usual likes. I had requested to have today and tomorrow off because the newest member of my family, my cousin’s little daughter had her baptism today and celebrated her first birthday.
She lives an hour away in the Southern Highlands and driving down the highway to her town brings back fond memories of when my family and I used to drive to Nowra before Nanna moved back up to Sydney, we used to have a lunch stop in Mittagong which is the town next to Bowral and it always fun to go through as a kid travelling a lot.
The five likes;
Karage mayo bowl at Tenkomori on Friday night followed by fun conversation in the Bee Lab downstairs in the city
Despite the drama a wannabe kawaii blogger blew up on Facebook, my friendships grew with some of the girlies online
Cousin bonding time today over birthday lunch with both adult and kids
2/3 of the unique pins I bought online via Etsy have been delivered this week
