As the days creep closer and my parents and I are finalising our checklists and our packing, I’m just happy that I am already on annual leave after six days of work last week. Not that it wasn’t stressful, happy to say that my very last shift at work turned out to be quite pleasant with a lot of hugs and well wishing from my colleagues. I’m looking forward to travelling in business class, it is such a long flight to get up to Dubai alone.
Been organising with the boyfriend of what we are going to do together in the second week while in England, I know that the cat cafe is one thing I definitely want to experience even after finding out Sydney has its own cat cafe in the city. Mum has also asked Brad if he would like to join us on a trip down to Portsmouth, she is going there to meet her work friends but the train ride would be nice for my parents to find more about him.
- I pre-ordered the Enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast, also acts as bluetooth speaker
- Family dinner with my family and my sister’s fiance’s family tonight, lots of laughs and good conversation
- Getting keratin on my hair tomorrow, it means no more frizz!
- Dollhouse DIY videos on Youtube are so relaxing, I have no idea why
- Writing more, socialising in reality more like what I used to do before pixel universes took over
I have been all over the place since yesterday, a lot has been going on leading up to my big trip and the event that affected me the most yesterday morning was when my beloved boss told me that she had resigned from being our manager and was moving into the city and changing hotel chains. Needless to say I was devastated, I even cried to one of my assistant managers over this news.
Though my boss has only been here for year and a half and I know in her new role she will do amazing things, she has been like a mum figure to me at work and encouraged to keep being the best person I can be. She has encouraged me to apply for other hotels, other roles having noticed my restleness here in my current role and knows what I want in my career. She will finish up when I am still on my holiday but promised me that my current duty managers will keep me in the loop of who our new boss will be. I am just going to miss her so much!
In other news, it is six more day until I am boarding a plane and flying to Dubai with the parents, I told my best friend it won’t hit me until the night before when I have to stay up before our 2:30am pick up.
6:30am start today and I’m back to the daily grind after a fabulous weekend either relaxing or out with friends, this is also my last week of work doing 6 days before my annual leave for Europe begins. I am all packed and ready to go, just have my day bag to prep for but otherwise everything else is ready for the month trip. Mum keeps telling me how busy we will be with training around the different countries and I know this won’t be a shopping trip, I’m just overall excited for the experience.
I am also still in fangirl mode over all the goodies being released from San Diego comic-con, that is another bucket list to one day check out the convention and be part of the masses in Hall H. The trailers for Shadowhunters, Avengers 3: Infinity war, Justice League have got me squealing and I can’t believe that Adelaide Kane (Mary from Reign) is going to be in Once upon a time and Tom Welling (Superman from Smallville) is going to be featured in the new season of Lucifer!
- My old assistant manager celebrated her birthday this past Saturday in the city, it was great to catch up
- Kagami event has opened on Second Life, it’s a Japanese horror game brings back nostalgia from 2 years ago
- I pre-ordered Occamy, the bird snake from Fantastic Beasts, a special pop doll from San Diego comic-con
- My dragon story has been moved from my little black book into word document
- Cute covered journals from Typo such as mermaid scales are addictive, I need to stop buying them!
There are various shades of the colour pink and Ame will wear all of them as much as she likes changing her hair colour. Recently I have been adding fuschia to the outfits on Polyvore to break up the same repetitive pattern of hot pink with denim or all black attire.
I am posting the three LOTD that feature fuschia;
Girly Frills: In her home city of Tokyo, Ame goes all out usually with her outfits and it usually means otherworldly accessories and random add-ons to the clothing. This look is no different, she favours unique heels or thigh-high leather boots and her pink katana is usually sheathed on her upper back. She also has a collection of different badges from various stores and pins them in her denim skirt. Her lipstick is usually Christian Louboutin’s lip lacquer.
L.A Cruising: Ame loves travelling to the City of Angels and not just because her former Dominant Jacen used to live there and she visited him often. She loves going shopping in Rodeo Drive and Melrose Avenue but has her lunch in Little Tokyo because it gives the familiarity of home. Normally in shorts or mini skirts, this particular outfit is giving out more class but still reflecting her eccentric taste in food accessories.
Hunting in Hong Kong: Post Cartel arc, the youngest Yakuza flies to Hong Kong to find answers of her target who fled Mexico when she was there with her older sister. Not wearing her trademark red lipstick and merely going with pink gloss, the steampunk goggles are also more an accessory than of any real technical use. She is armed up bringing two katanas and shuriken while hunting in the streets.
The past three days at work have been non stop to say the least, each day I have been clocking off work at least 45mins to an hour later, this usually isn’t the norm for me and it’s not because I haven’t been able to be on top of my work. No my checklist is signed off and complete on each shift it is because I take on additional tasks to help my Assistant manager so they can leave on time as well. Tomorrow is my last day before my two days off and tonight I printed off 114 registration cards, so many!
My colleague is determined to sign up the majority of them into our hotel loyalty program while I am just thinking of how much updating we will need to do from each registration card and adding membership numbers to every one who signs up. I would have no problem with this if my parents weren’t always arguing with me that it isn’t my job to stay back every day. I understand that I am rostered on from certain hours but it is always about flexibility, this is what hotels is all about and it is not like I hate my job, I am passionate in what I do here. I wish my parents understood this by now.
I have been given the roster for next week and my boss has given me three days before flying to Europe off! Happy to say I am one happy traveller and not too long until the big day arrives 😀
