The masque story continues with Alek and Ame arrive at Prague Castle
The lights danced across the heavily fortified walls surrounding Prague castle and it was enough distraction for both Aleksander and Ame to look at, the proximity of their bodies daring the lovers to remove their glamourous attire and have a quick romp in the backseat. The change of scenery and realization they had reached their destination quickly quenched their inner fire. Pulling up in front of the main entrance, the driver got out and hurried to the side of the limousine, Ame put on her wiry, black mask it was encrusted with tiny diamonds at the top framing her eyebrows.
Aleksander’s mask mimicked that of the Phantom of the opera completely covering half of his face, but the designs etched into the white plastic resembled that of a Japanese samurai. It was an acknowledgement to Ame’s family and it made the Yakuza very pleased of her Russian. The door opened and Aleksander stood out first, reaching a hand into the car and pulling Ame out. A slender leg slipped out first and she stood up, adjusting her fur shawl around her shoulders. Looping her hand through Aleksander’s arm, they smiled at each other and entered the castle.
They were to enter the Spanish Hall from the side and were also to be announced by the Herald at the double doors. Ame stared in awe at the sparkling chandeliers and golden decor, the many mirror panels making the ballroom look larger than what it already was. “Ms Ame Hayato and Mr Aleksander Volkov” the Herald yelled loudly into the chamber. They had decided there was no need to hide, their enemies were too afraid or not bold enough to approach and kill the Underground couple.
Entering the ballroom, the lovers held their head high as the chatter increased and attention was focused on them. Ame bit down an amused laugh as her and Aleksander were almost swamped by the paparazzi who peppered them with questions about their previous month of publicly lewd behaviour, Aleksander took control and answered them all with ease as the media was quickly pulled away by the security guards and the couple was gestured to their dinner table.
They were seated at the same table as a Romanian diplomat of foreign affairs and his wife as well as a business man in the local stock market alongside his current partner. The diplomat’s wife who had read up about Ame Hayato was eager to ask the Japanese woman various questions and Ame was happy to entertain her as their dinner was served by the catering staff. The orchestra played light music as the guests ate their three-course meal until they were full. Sitting at another table, a man with a full Venetian mask watched Ame from afar.
